Understanding clients’ needs and transforming those needs into innovative, flexible and future proof solutions is what makes me tick. I'd like to think of myself as an open-minded no-nonsense kind of a guy with a pragmatic and motivating attitude. I never think in terms of problems, but in terms of challenges and opportunities.

Unlike many other IT professionals, it took me until late in high school to get intrigued by computers and information technology. Back in the days, I was very strong in economics. I surprised many people by pursuing a career in computer science instead of economics. I’m sure that I’ll never regret that decision.

Shortly after I received my master's degree in Computer Science at the University Of Antwerp in 2002, I started my professional career as System Programmer & Designer in the development team, being responsible for maintaining and extending both DTM for iSeries (As/400) as Scriptura.

After being asked to join our Professional Services team, it became apparent to me that I was born to help customers in understanding and implementing IT solutions. I successfully helped many of our customers to get the most out of our solutions, learning a lot about their systems, procedures and standards in the process. After every project, I was always eager to share my experiences and to suggest improvements in our products to the management and development team.

As Services manager, I'm accountable for all client projects. With my experience as consultant, I understand more than anyone else that providing a great product alone is not enough. It is the combination of the product and the right mix of professional services, tailored to the specific environment and needs of our clients, that makes them fans of Inventive Designers. Therefore I pragmatically introduced standardized and transparent project documents, estimation techniques and a new portfolio of training and consultancy services.

Recently, my focus has shifted to innovation. I use a mixture of ingredients to create and share new ideas with all stakeholders (both internally as externally). Those ingredients include my 10+ years of experience in the document industry, my client network, our bright R&D team and a pinch of creativity.
