The Dutch chapter of Xplor awarded seven people with the prestigious Electronic Document Professional (EDP) Certificate this year. An EDP is an industry designation awarded to qualified individuals who have demonstrated broad knowledge of and experience in digital communication---whether in print, over internal networks, or online---from document creation to distribution.

David Geleyn, Professional Services Manager at Inventive Designers, was the only Belgian participant in this year’s selection. Belgium no longer has a separate chapter but Belgian (Flemish) individuals are more than welcome to apply for certification in The Netherlands.

René Joor, EDP Commissioner for the Dutch chapter comments: “The high number of new EDP’s proves the community we’ve built for HVTO (High Volume Transactional Output) and document management professionals is very active here. Every member acknowledges the value of our networking and knowledge sessions and I’m extremely satisfied our influence even reaches across borders. David was an excellent candidate and I welcome him to the EDP network.”

David was praised for the high quality of the cases he presented in his portfolio. All cases reflected the broad experience with HVTO and document management projects he acquired over the past years at Inventive Designers. David was proud to receive the certificate: “The EDP certificate is a recognition of my work in the industry. I look forward to both share my own experience as to learn from others.”

David is the second EDP certified individual at Inventive Designers. Joke Dehond, Co-CEO, received her certificate in 2006 as first Belgian and second European woman.
