Connectivity

"Madison Advisors believes in Scriptura of Inventive Designers. The software is based on open standards such as XML, XSL-FO, and SOAP and thus facilitates integration and interoperability. After all, these two characteristics constitute the basic requirements for interactive applications."
Richard Huff, Principal Analyst

Our open standards approach is the core of one of the most important strengths of Scriptura. It is our mission to integrate native and legacy environments as easy as possible.

Scriptura is built to fit your environment and not the other way around like other output solutions. Scriptura’s architecture is designed so it can fit every current and future environment.

  • With Scriptura, there is no need to change your current environment.
  • There is no need for systems that consolidate and reformat data.
  • standard connectors for content management:
    • Enterprise content management (ECM)
    • Enterprise resource management (ERM)
    • Customer relationship management (CRM)
    • etc.

The Java Message Service (JMS)

The Java Message Service (JMS) defines the standard for reliable Enterprise Messaging. Enterprise messaging, often also referred to as Messaging Oriented Middle-ware (MOM), is universally recognized as an essential tool for building enterprise applications. By combining Java technology with enterprise messaging, the JMS API provides a powerful tool for solving enterprise computing problems.

Scriptura is capable of interacting with the following message oriented middleware solutions by using the standard JMS interface:

  • IBM® WebSphere® MQ (aka IBM MQ Series)
  • TIBCO Enterprise Message Service
  • Apache ActiveMQ
  • Fiorano MQ
  • Sonic ESB
  • Sun MQ

Other solutions that provide a JMS implementation can be plugged in very easily.

The Java Database Connectivity (JDBC)

The Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) API is the industry standard for database-independent connectivity between the Java programming language and a wide range of databases – SQL databases and other tabular data sources, such as spreadsheets or flat files. The JDBC API provides a call-level API for SQL-based database access.

Scriptura is capable of interacting with the following databases by using the standard JDBC interface:

  • Oracle Database
  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • IBM DB2
  • Terradata
  • Sybase

Other solutions that provide a JDBC implementation can be plugged in very easily.
