With the new addition of Live Docs to Scriptura, users have the ability of creating documents interactively, while further building on the rich set of features of the Scriptura product suite.
Today, existing customers such as RVP (National Pension Office) already use the predecessor of Live Docs with interactive eForms technology.
The most important benefits of this new major feature are:
Live Docs is a great solution for all kinds of interactive document composition, such as insurance claims handling, customer service documents, quote or offer generation and lots more.
One of the latest additions to the Scriptura Product Suite of Inventive Designers, is the ability to compose documents interactively by using a standard set of building blocks:
These building blocks will appear on the final document based on predefined rules.

Scriptura Live Docs uses a standard web browser (Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox), from which users can compose and preview documents. As detailed in the example, users can compose documents by selecting predefined paragraphs, filling in certain fields or typing additional text. On top of that, additional data (CRM, ERP, Accounting,…) can be automatically merged in from the calling application. At the same time Live Docs will respect all business rules that have been set up by the designer of the document template.

When the user is completely satisfied with the “live” document, it can be submitted for production, either in real-time or deferred for inclusion with other batch documents.
This new addition to Scriptura further builds on the open standards based document generation solution, and blends in with existing functionalities such as Scriptura templates, reusable objects and Business Document Flow. It also extends on the Scriptura multi-lingual capabilities, offering both a choice of a multi-lingual user interface to the user of the interactive document composition, as well as multi-lingual output documents.
Live Docs uses the electronic forms capabilities that were already available in the Scriptura product suite, for adding controls such as date fields, fill-in fields and rich text paragraphs for typing free text in certain locations. This new addition to Scriptura is completely compatible with all existing Scriptura objects and features.
A sales executive needs to prepare a contract for a foreign customer.
Live Docs allows the sales executive to select a standard contract and add specific paragraphs for the customer, as well as a customer logo and some free text detailing the specific project. Live Docs will automatically fill the contract with information from CRM, ERP and other back office systems. This will greatly reduce errors and speed up the entire process.
When Live Docs detects the customer is foreign, it can automatically add the general conditions in the required language. Based on predefined business rules, the contract can then be sent digitally or via postal mail, while a copy is archived.
