EverGreen/400 Domino Calendar Interface
This optional feature provides 5250 access to the calendars of Lotus Domino for AS/400. Green screen users are able to participate in the powerful calendaring and scheduling environment of Lotus Domino.
The Domino Calendar Interface Feature offers the following functions:
Calendar Profiles
Every user has a Calendar Profile which contains some of the properties of the calendar like: default time and date format, business hours, access restrictions, etc.
A user is able to define which other users get access to his calendar information and what level of access is granted. The same way a user might be able to access other people's calendars.
Calendar Views
A user's calendar can be displayed in different ways, called views. Depending on the amount of information which needs to be shown, different views can be used:
- Week view
- Two week view
- Month view
- Six month view
Some of these views show a visual representation (called busy bars) of the available free time.
Calendar Item Types
Different types of calendar items can be managed and processed:
- Appointments: An appointment is a calendar item that represents a meeting or appointment.
- Invitations: An invitation is a calendar item that represents a meeting where multiple people are invited to participate or where resources need to be reserved.
- Events: An event is a calendar item that represents an event or conference which spans one or more full days.
- Reminders: A reminder is a calendar item that represents an action which needs to be performed.
- Anniversaries: An anniversary is a calendar item which represents an annual anniversary.
The processing of an invitation (Accept, Decline,...) is integrated with the e-mail capabilities of the EverGreen/400 Base product.
Synchronization
All actions performed by EverGreen/400 users are automatically reflected on the Domino side, and vice versa. This is a two-way process which has been designed for optimal performance and reliability.
